First in the UK programme for Year 7 talented youngsters

Future Stars in conjunction with Islip Manor High School and the Polish Volleyball Association would like to introduce our groundbreaking, first in the UK sporting programme ‘Future Stars Performance Pathway’ to support talented young aspiring athletes as they transition from Primary School Education through to Secondary Education and beyond.

After over 15 years experience in the delivery of successful sporting academy programmes providing young people aged 16-19 with the opportunities, experiences and exposure to reach their potential, we have decided to follow the successful European format which deliver daily sporting training for young people who are 11 years old entering secondary aged education.

Talented youngsters joining the pathway in Year 7 at Islip Manor High School will receive daily sports provision from specialist coaches (1.5 hours) to support them on their journey towards elite competition. Students will also receive mentoring to ensure that they are fully supported in both their academic and sporting development. Throughout key stage 3, the programme is designed to develop general sporting ability with sports specialist pathways starting in key stage 4 to include Basketball, Volleyball and Track and Field delivered by professional sports coaches in each discipline providing students with the opportunities to participate in both National and International competitions.

Thanks to our cooperation with the world leading Polish Volleyball Association we will have access to the most innovative strategies and methods in developing young talent to facilitate our pathway.

At Future Stars we are proud to offer unique opportunities for young people with a passion and potential for sport to thrive both academically and athletically. The partnership with the Polish Volleyball Association provides the opportunity for the young people on our pathway to have regular contact with top European coaches.

Director of Future Stars, Emma Chambers was particularly pleased about our new project when she stated:” We are very proud that we are the first organisation in Great Britain which delivers professional regular training for young people from 10 years olds onwards. We follow the best European practices where children this age have access to professional coaching and opportunities to compete on high level. How can we expect that young athletes based in Great Britain will compete internationally if we don’t create and provide for them the same training opportunities? Our project directly tackles this issue and provides realistic solutions to this problem by providing a fully comprehensive pathway incorporating all stages of education to support both the academic and athletic development of young people from year 7 through their secondary and sixth form education with fully supported progression routes including UK Universities, US and European institutions.’

We are currently enrolling for both our year 7 and sixth form Sporting Excellence Programmes. For more information, please contact chairperson@futurestars.eu or 07951 762 821
